Branches

Branches is our wine label that focuses on big, rich Cabernet Sauvignon based wines. The name “Branches” comes for a colloquial translation of Ramos from Spanish to English. We source our Cabernet Sauvignon for Branches from the Peterson Vineyard in Lodi, CA. The Peterson Vineyard produces fruit of incredible richness and complexity on its sandy soils. The Peterson’s have been farming the land sustainably for four generations.

Las Lomitas

The latest additions to our portfolio of wines are those that we call Las Lomitas. Las Lomitas colloquially means “little baby hills” in Spanish. These wines feature fruit from our estate vineyard, Love Ranch. Located 30 miles south of Yosemite National Park's southern entrance, Ramos Torres' Love Ranch Estate Vineyard climbs the Sierra Nevada to an elevation of 1350 ft. A site of extremes, this vineyard is situated on 21 acres of varied slopes on thin soils of granitic schist. With excellent drainage and retention of the days heat, these soils radiate warmth into the canopy on cold nights where diurnal swings are as much as 40 degrees. Prevailing winds cool the vineyard and help create wines with intense aromas and flavors. Under the Las Lomitas label you will find the following wines:

Grenache Noir Rosé: A beautiful dry rosé hat is crisp and perfect for a warm summer day.

Single Rhône varietal wines: these will very according to when the vintage is exceptional and allows us to craft a beautiful single varietal wine.

Panza Colina: Meaning belly of the hill in Spanish, this wine leads with Syrah, with Grenache, Mourvédre, and small amounts of Counoise is especially dark and intense. Fruit for this wine come from the hilltops where the vines produce fruit with small berries, soft tannins, and refreshing acidity.

Lomas Seca: meaning dry hills in Spanish, this wine leads with Grenache, with Mourvédre, Syrah, and Counoise. This wine features grapes grown in our most arid sections of the vineyard and showcases our sustainable vineyard management practices, which create wines with intense flavors.
